HOW DOES EMAIL VERIFICATION WORK?

Our email verification tools work in milliseconds to make direct contact with the domain's email server to identify if the username really exists at the domain. This way we can prevent your emails from hitting hard bounces.

While we cannot give you specifics because we have confidentiality clauses in place, we can tell you that most of our clients are online marketers, e-commerce companies, online retailers, bloggers, and anyone who owns a website, which collects data, is a good fit.

WHAT ARE YOUR EMAIL VERIFICATION RESPONSE TIMES?

Majority of major domains such as AOL, COMCAST, YAHOO, GMAIL, Etc, will occur in less than one second however there are some times of the day that you will see spikes when these email servers have a lot of load. If you are validating B2B data response times can be higher because each mail server is configured differently. If the server is going to take more than 7 seconds to respond we can time it out and deem it as an "unknown" which is not a billable transaction.

WHAT IS A TYPICAL BATCH TURN-AROUND TIMES FOR EMAIL VERIFICATION

It depends on the size of your file and the type of data in your file. If you upload 100,000 records of B2C data then you can expect your file to finish in about 3 hours. If you have B2B data it might take twice the time to complete. If you have a smaller file such as 10k it may average between 15-20 minutes to see your results.

CAN WE DETECT SPAM TRAPS?

No one will be able to identify spam traps. Spam traps are always constantly changing and we strongly advise to only upload opt-in data for email verification.

HOW ACCURATE ARE YOUR EMAIL VERIFICATION TOOLS?

Accuracy is what we pride ourselves on, with Xverify we do not cache any data so each verification that comes to us is a new look up. This means that if an email account does not exist and you register it 5 minutes later, we will then mark it as valid.

WHAT DOES YOUR FRAUD PROTECTION INCLUDE?

We can suppress against malicious email addresses such as temporary accounts. Temporary accounts are email addresses that only last a few days, and they are widely used by fraudsters. In addition to that, we also can identify email accounts, which have been linked to online-fraud, and chargebacks, which is something you want to completely avoid.
